John is the owner of 1 Stop Tire & Auto that's located in the heart of downtown Castle Rock as well as part owner of 105 West Brewing Company just northwest of downtown. He has served as the Chairman of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce;  and finished up a five year run as Vice President of the Castle Rock Downtown Merchants Association allowing him now to serve on the Castle Rock Downtown Development Authority.

John was born in Canada's nation capital, Ottawa. After College, John accepted an engineering position in Montreal in 1975 and was eventually transferred to their US division in Pennsylvania in 1983. In 1999, John helped co-found WideOpenWest, a cable TV/Internet company which brought him to the Castle Rock Area. John ended up starting 1 Stop Tire & Auto in 2007 so that he could have the fun and experience of operating a local business and be involved in the community. John is also known for creating the "Classic Rock Cruise In" Car show and is co-creator of the popular "Business Over Beverages...BOB" networking group operating since 2011. He was also honored as Castle Rock's 2013 Citizen of the year and more recently, was awarded the 2014 Governor's Excellence Award for Downtowner of the Year for the State of Colorado.
