CANADA COLORADO ASSOCIATION MISSION STATEMENT
“To Act as a resource for social networking amongst Canadians and Americans that reside in Colorado “
This will be accomplished by :
- Offering a means for Canadian expatriates and Colorado residents who wish to maintain connections with Canadians while in Colorado
- Promoting Canadian events in Colorado and assisting other agencies or organizations to provide the same
- Providing assistance to people new to Colorado from Canada
- Assisting the Canadian Consul General’s Office as may be requested.

Brock West
Winston Brock West
Brock was born and raised in the suburbs of Toronto. After graduating from the University of Toronto in engineering, he began his career in North Bay Ontario and obtained his Professional Engineering license... After three years in North Bay, he accepted an offer to move to the company headquarters in New York City where he met his wife Helen. In 1972 the company decided to relocate its headquarters from NYC to Denver CO. Brock retired as a CEO having, spent 25 years leading the management of manufacturing businesses and companies serving both domestic and international markets. He joined Canada Colorado in the early 1990’s serving as a Director and President of the Board. Brock and Helen are members of Pinehurst Country Club where he has held similar positions on the Board of Directors All Brock’s siblings and their families continue to live in Canada and are spread out from Halifax to Victoria.

Garth Wilson
GARTH L. WILSON Garth was born and raised in Kimberley, BC then attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, where he studied Civil Engineering – graduating with a BSCE in 1964. He worked for BC Hydro near Hudson Hope from graduation to 1967. He met Betty (Robinson) in November 1964 and they were married in Vancouver in December 1965. They moved from Hudson Hope to Montreal in 1967 to take in the excitement of Expo 67 and Quebec province where he worked in the Public Works Department at the City of Westmount.
In July 1970 he accepted a position with Engineering Consultants, Inc (ECI) of Denver, CO in west-central Greece. He went to Burma (now Myanmar) in 1973; to Craig, CO in 1974; Central Luzon, Philippines from 1975 to 1977; Northern Luzon from 1977 to 1980; Western Colorado from 1980 to 1982; then Central Java, Indonesia from 1983 to 1984.
In 1984, he left ECI and worked his way up in Green Construction Co. living in northern California for a year, then Salt Lake City, Utah until 1987 when he transferred to Denver. In 1994 he returned to ECI as Vice President then Unit Manager in the Denver office. Work took him to Lebanon, Peru, India and many western and some eastern states.
In 2003 he started his own consulting firm – naming it Engineering and Construction Insights to retain a tie to the old ECI. As an independent consultant he did work for projects in Colorado, California, Turkey, Laos, Arizona, Utah, Puerto Rico, Germany and in BC. He continues to consult part-time and enjoys fishing, golf, his antique car (Nash Metropolitan) and traveling with Betty. Together, they have visited many parts of the world but always enjoy returning to BC and their home in Denver.
